Bhogapuram airport land acquisition issues

The Andhra Pradesh government is addressing pending land acquisition issues for the Greenfield International Airport in Bhogapuram, Vizianagaram district.
Issues involve outstanding compensation and Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) packages for a section of affected farmers.
Disputes exist regarding compensation rates for land acquired for the approach road connecting National Highway-16 to the airport.
The government offered ₹48 lakh per acre, while some farmers demand up to ₹1 crore per acre based on market rates.
Disputed compensation amounts have been deposited with a tribunal in Visakhapatnam for resolution through the judicial process.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister inaugurated the second phase of the Seed Access Road (E-3) at Undavalli.
The project includes the construction of two steel bridges.
The completed road segment spans from Rayapudi to Undavalli, passing through Venkatapalem and Penumaka.
The total estimated cost of the development is ₹1,519 crore.
The infrastructure project is intended to improve connectivity within the capital region.
Future phases of the project aim to link the capital region to National Highway 16.
