The Union Home Ministry has expanded the e-visa regime by adding 11 new international entry points.
The expansion includes two airports (Bhopal and Tirupati) and nine land ports (Agartala, Darranga, Gede, Ghojadanga, Haridaspur, Jaigaon, Dawki, Moreh, and Attari).
The total number of authorized international entry points for e-visa holders has increased to 88.
The objective of this policy initiative is to facilitate international travel and enhance the attractiveness of India's electronic visa system.
