NCPCR child labour rescue campaign

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
NCPCR launched a 'Pan-India Rescue and Rehabilitation' campaign from June 12 to August 31.

19 child labourers rescued from the Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) yard in Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru.
Demographics of rescued children: 13 from Bihar (12 boys, 1 girl), 2 from West Bengal, 2 from Uttar Pradesh, 1 from Rajasthan, and 1 from Karnataka.
An additional 10 children were rescued from roadside locations in the vicinity.
Rescued children were produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) for rehabilitation and legal processing.
