National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM)

The National Urban Livelihoods Mission is a flagship central initiative aimed at reducing urban poverty by organizing the urban poor into community institutions, providing skill training, enabling credit for micro-enterprises, and creating social infrastructure like shelters for the homeless.

• It establishes a structured administrative framework for formalizing the livelihoods of the urban informal workforce and street vendors through social mobilization and micro-credit linkages.
